Just for fun, my Academy linguistics professor once taught us to appreciate how vast the Universe is by asking the computer the meaning of a word in every linguistic databases in the Sol Sector alone. Well, we encountered the starship Maroa a few months ago, and I remember being interested in the fact that it was named after a Deltan ocean -- what with most of Starfleet's ships named after Human things.
